Where to stay?
Marrakech has many hotels, resorts and riads. A riad is a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an interior garden or courtyard. Many old buildings have been restored to their former glory and are now used as hotels. The riads are situated within the Medina (see map), which is the old city surrounded by a city wall. There are several gay-friendly riads in Marrakech. We list some suggestions below.
Hotels and riads often don't allow local visitors. If you plan to have those make sure to book one of the big 5 star hotels where you can enter more discrete.
